About the Role We're working with an established and approachable accountancy practice that’s looking to add an Accounts & Tax Assistant to their team. This role is ideal for someone who’s already worked in a UK practice environment and is now looking to take on more responsibility, with the option to continue training and development.

You’ll be involved in a mix of accounts preparation and tax work, supporting a varied client base of small businesses and individuals.

What you will be doing

Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns

Supporting senior staff and partners with client queries and compliance tasks

Taking on more responsibility as your skills develop

What they’re looking for Experience working in a UK accountancy practice is essential

Strong foundation in accounts preparation and/or tax compliance

Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn

Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a small team
