As Accounts Manager, you will take responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of accounts and tax compliance services while identifying opportunities to provide additional value through advisory support.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional looking to progress towards Senior Manager or Director level.
Your new role Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of industries and sectors.
Review statutory accounts prepared by junior team members.
Oversee the preparation and review of corporation tax and personal tax returns.
Manage workflow, deadlines and client expectations across the portfolio.
Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted business adviser.
Lead client meetings and present financial results and recommendations.
Support clients with business planning, cash flow forecasting and profitability analysis.
Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
Liaise with HMRC and other professional advisers on behalf of clients.
Support Partners with advisory and strategic projects.
Manage, mentor and develop junior members of the team.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and firm procedures.
Assist with the recruitment, training and retention of staff
What you'll need to succeedACA or ACCA qualified.
Significant experience within an accountancy practice environment.
Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
Experience managing a client portfolio.
Proven ability to review work and manage staff.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
