Audit Director

A well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Bristol is looking to strengthen its senior leadership team with the appointment of an Audit Director, offering flexible working, a strong company pension, and much more. The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit clients, providing strategic oversight, technical guidance, and commercial input at the highest level. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the audit department, mentoring senior staff, and contributing to the wider growth and profitability of the firm.

What is the day-to-day of the role:
Oversee a diverse portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors Provide technical review and sign off on complex audit assignments Lead, mentor, and develop audit managers and senior staff Drive business development and strengthen client relationships Contribute to strategic planning and the ongoing growth of the audit department

Required Skills and Qualifications:

ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience Proven track record operating at Director or near-Director level Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills Excellent commercial awareness and business development ability Benefits:
