Accounts Senior

This highly respected firm has built an excellent reputation across the South West, providing a personalised and proactive service to a loyal and diverse client base. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated Accounts Senior to join their friendly and supportive team.

The Role As an Accounts Senior, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients from a variety of sectors, supporting them with their accounting and compliance requirements whilst building strong professional relationships. Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Preparing management accounts and financial reports. Reviewing and preparing VAT returns. Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work. Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day accounting support. Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate. Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. About You The successful candidate will ideally possess:
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment. AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience. Strong accounts preparation experience. Good working knowledge of accounting software, including cloud-based systems such as Xero and Quick Books. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive and professional approach to work. What's on Offer? Competitive salary dependent on experience.
