Your New Role As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing of supplier invoices and payments while supporting the wider finance function. Key responsibilities will include:
Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently Matching purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid on time Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies Managing supplier queries and maintaining positive relationships Assisting with month-end accounts payable reconciliations Supporting the finance team with administrative tasks and reporting requirements Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal controls What You'll Need to Succeed Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Excellent organisational and time management skills Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel Ability to work both independently and as part of a team A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving What You'll Get in Return Competitive salary Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Generous annual leave entitlement Pension scheme Opportunity to work for a values-led organisation making a real difference Supportive and friendly team environment Training and development opportunities If you're looking to utilise your accounts payable experience within a rewarding charity environment, we'd love to hear from you.
