Our client, a well-respected company in the veterinary care sector, is currently seeking a Management Accountant - Payroll to join their team on a contract basis. The role is pivotal in ensuring efficient payroll operations and management accounting, providing vital support to the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing and managing payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance

Preparing and maintaining payroll records and reports

Conducting detailed payroll reconciliations and ensuring discrepancies are addressed promptly

Collaborating with HR and management to resolve payroll-related issues

Preparing management accounts and financial reports as required

Analysing financial data to provide insights into payroll trends and costs

Ensuring compliance with relevant tax and employment legislation

Assisting with budget preparation and forecasts related to payroll

Job Requirements:

Experience in payroll management and accounting

Strong knowledge of payroll systems and accounting software

Understanding of tax regulations and employment law Excellent numerical and analytical skills

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines

Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

Relevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience
