About the roleWe’re looking for a highly organised, accurate and friendly Sales & Purchasing Administrator to join our small team of five, covering maternity leave for approximately 12 months.
This is a busy, detail‑heavy role where accuracy is essential — mistakes can be costly. It would suit someone who enjoys structured admin work, is comfortable juggling multiple tasks, and can stay calm and focused in a lively office with frequent interruptions.
The role is primarily admin‑based, with some telephone and email contact with customers and sales agents.
Key responsibilities- Processing sales orders for wholesale customers
- Managing customer‑specific and sometimes unusual labelling and booking in requirements
- Liaising with sales agents and responding to customer queries
- Taking orders over the phone with a friendly, professional manner
- Ordering stock from printers and other suppliers
- Communicating with our fulfilment warehouse, dealing with queries and monitoring stock levels
- Calculating monthly artist royalties and sales agent commission and dealing with any related queries
- Keeping accurate records across multiple systems in a busy office
- Packing orders for retail customers
You’ll be someone who:
- Is very well organised and highly accurate
- Enjoys detail‑focused admin work and understands the importance of getting things right
- Remains calm and efficient despite frequent interruptions
- Has a friendly, approachable manner and is confident on the phone
- Enjoys working as part of a small, close‑knit team
- Can confidently juggle a varied workload
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar sales, purchasing or office administration role
- Experience processing orders and handling customer enquiries
- Strong numerical accuracy
- Experience using Xero and inventory/order management systems is desirable
- We mainly use Cin7 Core for inventory — full training will be provided
- Monday to Friday
- Around 27.5 hours per week, ideally spread across five days
- Typical hours are 9.30am–3.30pm with a 30‑minute lunch break, with some flexibility
- This is an office‑based role (no remote working)
- 20 days per year plus bank holidays
