The main travel locations for this role will be Bristol and Swindon. Please note this is a fixed term contract until 31st of March 2027.
As an Assistant Communities Housing Manager (ACHM), you'll provide essential administrative support to ensure our housing operations run smoothly. Your work will focus on managing customer enquiries, updating systems, coordinating key documents, maintaining accurate tenancy records, and supporting colleagues with the information they need to deliver a great service.
This role is office‑based/administration‑focused and does not involve property inspections, estate visits, or neighbourhood‑based activity. Instead, you'll play a crucial behind‑the‑scenes role keeping processes efficient, compliant, and well organised.
Reporting into the Area Manager, you will work as part of an established team to manage our neighbourhoods.

More About YouWe need you to have excellent communication skills ensuring a polite and courteous manner; this is paramount to this role. You will be working closely with our customers and external agencies, so you should be able to demonstrate the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships.
You should have experience working within a similar tenancy and estates management role and have relevant and up‑to‑date knowledge around housing and tenancy legislation and procedures that can be acted upon to make informed decisions.
You will need to demonstrate tenacity, resilience and attention to detail, as well as a commercial approach to what you do, using your initiative and being eager to contribute toward making positive changes. Therefore, you should be able to evidence where you have introduced or contributed to service delivery improvements. You will need to be a positive motivator with the ability to support others to deliver an effective service while maintaining your own motivation levels working autonomously.
A basic DBS check is mandatory for this role.
