This is a fully office-based position and requires attendance at our Bristol office during working hours.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide administrative and operational support across the Business Show Media portfolio. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning and execution of multiple events by coordinating suppliers, maintaining accurate operational documentation, and supporting event logistics.

We are looking for someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys working with multiple stakeholders, and has previous experience within event operations.

  • Source supplier quotations, maintain supplier records, and assist with the administration of contracts and event documentation.
  • Support event planning by preparing and maintaining project schedules, timelines, operational checklists and exhibitor information.
  • Assist with supplier logistics, exhibitor requirements and contractor coordination before, during and after events.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, spreadsheets and operational systems, ensuring information is up to date and readily accessible.
  • Prepare exhibitor exports, reports and other operational documentation as required.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of multiple events and projects, undertaking additional administrative and operational duties where required.
Skills & Experience Essential
  • Previous experience in an event operations or event coordination role.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience liaising with suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A professional, proactive and reliable approach to work.
Desirable
  • Experience working within exhibitions, trade shows, or conference events.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and tools.
  • Experience managing exhibition floor plans, ideally including use of the Floorplan Live platform or similar software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.).
  • Experience working with event management systems and databases.
Personal Attributes
  • Highly organised, methodical and self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Positive, flexible, and solutions-focused attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.

The role will be based around set working days each week to support business requirements. The role is based in our Bristol office, with attendance required at our two London-based exhibitions each year (typically April and November). These onsite event days form part of the role, and no other travel is anticipated.
