Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re now looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Housing & Central Support Administrator (Housing & People) to join our Commercial Housing team. This is a key role supporting tenants, families and colleagues — helping ensure income processes, tenancy documentation and housing administration run smoothly and efficiently.
About the role
As Housing & Central Support Administrator, you’ll provide high-quality administrative support to the Housing team, while also supporting reception and central services across the organisation.
You’ll act as a first point of contact for:
* Tenants and families
* Support teams
* Housing Officers
* Local authorities
* Contractors and external partners
You’ll play an important part in supporting income processes, Housing Benefit administration and tenancy documentation — helping ensure our tenants’ homes are secure, compliant and well-managed.
What you’ll be doing
* Act as the first point of contact for Housing Services enquiries, delivering professional and responsive customer service via phone, email and in person, while managing shared inboxes within service standards.
* Provide comprehensive income and rent administration support, including processing Housing Benefit and Council Tax correspondence, liaising with local authorities, and accurately recording benefit outcomes.
* Support lettings and tenancy processes by preparing tenancy documentation, maintaining accurate housing system records, and ensuring all legal and compliance paperwork is up to date.
* Deliver efficient administrative and operational support, including producing correspondence and reports, managing post, raising purchase orders, and maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.
* Ensure high standards of quality and compliance by logging tenant and agency contact, maintaining GDPR and data accuracy standards, and supporting Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, and Data Protection policies.
What we’re looking for
* Experienced in administration or customer service
* Highly organised with strong time management skills
* Confident using MS Office and maintaining digital systems
* Detail-oriented, particularly when handling financial and tenancy records
* Professional and compassionate when working with tenants and families
* Aware of confidentiality and GDPR requirements
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in housing or supported housing
* Basic understanding of Housing Benefit and Council Tax processes
