Radiology Clinic Co-ordinator

This clinic co-ordinator post sits within the Radiology Service at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The role centres on managing active and backlog waiting list data, arranging patient appointments and supporting referral management. It is a Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour post that also requires handling distressed patients and relatives with empathy. Fit depends on clerical or administrative experience, dealing with the public and a Business and Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.

• Monitor and manage active and backlog waiting list data
• Contact patients by telephone, at the Reception desk and through Trust systems
• Ensure appointments are arranged appropriately
• Support referral management
• Act as first point of contact for staff queries and patient complaints
• Liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff
• Escalate complaints, capacity issues and patient concerns appropriately
• Show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers
• Act with resilience when dealing with distressed patients and relatives, in an empathetic manner

• Business and Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
