About the Role
U-Drive are recruiting for a positive and 'can‑do' professional Vehicle Technician with a drive to consistently provide the best service possible. As a Workshop Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure a comprehensive and efficient maintenance and service operation for our fleet, working from our Bristol workshop with a focus on LCVs alongside some car work.
Become a vital part of our growing team! We are currently offering a permanent position for a Workshop Vehicle Technician with a competitive salary. The standard work week is 42 hours, Monday to Friday.

As a Workshop Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure a comprehensive and efficient maintenance and service operation for all vehicles, primarily LCVs with some car work, based at our Bristol workshop.
Workshop Vehicle Technician Position at our Bristol branch.This role is based at our Bristol workshop. You will be responsible for maintaining the fleet's LCVs and some cars, ensuring readiness for operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise closely with the Operations team in coordinating and prioritising works
- Perform scheduled maintenance on both customer and U-Drive vehicles, primarily LCVs with some cars
- Conduct test drives, inspections, and diagnostic tests to identify and address vehicle issues
- Execute preventive maintenance inspections, guaranteeing the safety and roadworthiness of all vehicles
- Prepare vehicles for MOT
- Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Maintain accurate records for works completed and parts used
- Positive "Can Do" attitude — professional and enthusiastic customer service is essential
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical, Maintenance, and Repair (and able to demonstrate both knowledge and practical skills)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Mechanic, ideally with strong LCV experience
- Demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic expertise
- Agile problem solver with excellent attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to provide satisfactory employment references
