Our client is a leading global manufacturer within the automotive industry. They are looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer to join their growing procurement team. In this critical role to the team, you will play a vital part in driving cost savings, mitigating risks, and ensuring the successful procurement of essential materials and services for our global operations.

• As a Senior Strategic Buyer, you will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for a diverse range of manufacturing commodities and services.
• Conduct market research, identify qualified suppliers, and negotiate competitive contracts.
• Manage and foster strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
• Lead cross-functional teams to optimise procurement processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyse market trends and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve sourcing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Strategic Procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with the internal Management team as well as external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and a strong understanding of international trade regulations.
• Experience using procurement software and tools is a plus.
