Business Development Manager – Innovation Incentives

Up to £55,000 basic + OTE
· Bristol and hybrid

This is an opportunity for an experienced financial services BDM who has mastered the consultative sale, learned to earn the trust of senior decision-makers, and knows how to make a business owner care about something complex — and who is now ready for a fresh challenge selling something genuinely impactful to ambitious, innovative companies.

It helps innovative businesses cut through complexity and secure valuable funding through R&D tax relief, Patent Box, grants, capital allowances and more.

The business is hiring a Business Development Manager – Innovation to take its holistic approach to a new audience of prospects, while ensuring existing clients are getting maximum value from the full suite of services. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth by identifying, securing and developing new business across R&D tax services and the wider innovation incentives portfolio — and build lasting commercial relationships by turning complex frameworks into compelling, credible value propositions.

The role

The ideal candidate
  • Has a proven track record in B2B sales, consultancy or business development — ideally in a professional or financial services context, or with SaaS / service‑based sales
  • Is confident building rapport and credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Has the commercial instinct to communicate the value of innovation incentives with clarity
  • Is driven by pipeline creation, strong conversion and sustained client impact
  • Works collaboratively across technical, marketing and leadership teams
What's on offer
