Role Overview

We’re looking for a Procurement Business Partner to join our team in this important role where you’ll help us make sure we buy goods and services in a way that is fair, compliant and delivers good value. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, supporting them through procurement and helping improve how we do things.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support procurement activity across the organisation, including running procurement exercises (tenders) and guiding colleagues from need definition to completion.
  • Improve procurement processes by updating guidance, templates, conducting training, and finding better ways of working.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant rules and UK public procurement requirements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to understand future needs, plan procurement activity, and support contract management, including supplier reviews and price changes.
  • Maintain contract records, track spend and savings, and use data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in procurement, ideally in a public sector environment, with a solid understanding of procurement processes and the ability to manage or support tenders.
  • Knowledge of UK procurement regulations.
  • Comfortable working with information and data, able to explain findings clearly to a range of people.
  • Organised, thoughtful, and able to support others through a process.
  • Professional qualification such as CIPS or experience working in housing or a similar sector is desirable but not essential.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences. As a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee an interview to disabled applicants who meet the minimum essential criteria for the role. We also apply the same inclusive approach to applicants from under‑represented ethnic groups and members of the LGBTQ+ community. We want everyone to feel supported throughout the recruitment process and encourage applicants to let us know if we can help you showcase your talents, including adjustments for disability or neurodiversity.
