Experteer Overview As Public Sector Account Director, you'll lead strategic relationships with UK public sector organisations, uniting insurance, risk, claims and advisory capabilities to improve governance and community outcomes. You will manage a portfolio of clients, drive retention, service excellence and business development, and influence high-profile programmes with cross-functional teams. Your role combines client leadership with tender and procurement expertise to deliver measurable value.

- Own and deliver services to public sector clients with transparent, auditable outcomes aligned to service standards.
- Translate client needs and procurement constraints into practical insurance and risk advisory solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with budget holders, procurement leads, legal advisers and risk managers.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on public sector insurance programmes across multiple risk types.
- Coordinate with specialist WTW teams to offer joined-up claims, analytics, placement strategy and project advisory support.
- Design and implement solutions, pricing and placement strategies that meet client needs and procurement requirements.
- Grow the portfolio by identifying opportunities within current public sector relationships and related entities.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional service teams with clear roles, timelines and communication.
- Drive the sales process to win, retain and develop public sector clients through competitive tenders.
- Optimise revenue and placement outcomes via market channels, framework routes and data-driven negotiation.
- Lead end-to-end delivery in line with governance and regulatory obligations.
- Navigate public sector insurance procurement processes and applicable regulations.
- Support insurance contract drafting and review, evaluating bids and resolving risk allocation issues.
- Coordinate public procurement tender responses, including design, pricing, evidence and presentations.
- Contribute to insurance advisory work streams for public sector projects and post-award compliance verification.
- Participate in public sector forums and industry events to maintain market insight and elevate WTW's profile.
- Tasks ACII qualified or legally qualified, or similar professional credential; strong mix of insurance and legal/contract experience is valued.
- Extensive insurance knowledge with public sector risk understanding and tendered placement experience.
- Knowledge of UK public procurement principles and compliant tender evaluation.
- Experience leading public sector tenders, framework submissions and contract-related insurance work.
- Ability to interpret insurance clauses, indemnities, limits and evidence of cover.
- Proven track record building trusted senior relationships with public bodies and external advisers.
- Experience in new business development and converting prospects in regulated or tender-led environments.
- Ability to represent WTW with integrity under public accountability and scrutiny.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills for non-insurance stakeholders.
- Experience with processes and systems supporting governance, data quality and document control.
