Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Funky Pigeon, we're looking for a commercially focused Digital Merchandise Planner to help drive the performance of our online product ranges through effective forecasting, stock planning and trading analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced ecommerce business where you'll play a key role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time, supporting both customer experience and commercial success.

Working closely with Buying, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Operations and Technology teams, you'll use data and customer insights to influence trading decisions, optimise stock levels and identify opportunities to maximise sales performance across our digital channels. Based at our Bristol office, this role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days per week in the office.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be responsible for supporting the end-to-end merchandise planning process, ensuring product availability is aligned to customer demand and business objectives. Using sales data, trends and performance insights, you’ll develop forecasts, monitor trading performance and make recommendations that help drive revenue growth and improve stock efficiency. Working closely with Buying and Commercial teams, you’ll manage intake and replenishment plans, identify risks and opportunities within product categories and take proactive action to optimise performance.

You’ll regularly analyse sales, stock and margin data to provide meaningful insights and support key trading decisions.

The role will involve overseeing stock management across multiple product categories, supporting promotional planning and ensuring inventory levels are aligned with seasonal demand, campaign activity and wider business priorities.

You’ll also work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to improve processes, maintain accurate planning data and contribute to strategic initiatives that support future growth.

  • Experience in merchandise planning, merchandising or stock planning within a retail, ecommerce or multi-channel environment
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with the ability to interpret data and make commercially sound recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
  • Experience monitoring sales, stock, intake and margin performance against targets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions
