Site Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Civils / Groundworks Site Manager to oversee the delivery of infrastructure and groundworks packages on a large-scale mixed-use commercial development in North Bristol.

The wider scheme is a significant regeneration project incorporating commercial buildings, infrastructure, and associated external works. The development is progressing through major construction phases and requires a capable Site Manager to take full responsibility for the groundworks element of the build.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will lead all groundworks operations on site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery in line with programme requirements.

You will be responsible for managing subcontractors and direct labour, coordinating plant and materials, and ensuring works are completed to specification and within deadlines.

Scope of Works Includes

* Bulk earthworks and site preparation

* Foundations and substructure works

* Drainage installation (foul and storm)

* Service ducts and utilities coordination

* Hardstandings and external works

* Roads and infrastructure elements

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee day-to-day groundworks activities

* Manage site teams and subcontractors

* Ensure compliance with RAMS and health & safety standards

* Monitor progress against programme

* Coordinate inspections and quality control

* Liaise with project management and commercial teams

* Maintain site records and reporting

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Civils / Groundworks Site Manager

* Strong background delivering groundworks on commercial schemes

* Ability to manage large site packages independently

* SMSTS – Essential

* CSCS Card – Essential

* First Aid at Work – Essential

* Strong organisational and communication skills
