Site Manager – The Company

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded multi-regional main contractor with a strong presence across the South West.

The company delivers a wide range of construction projects across the Education and Commercial sectors, with typical schemes ranging up to £20m. They have an excellent reputation for quality delivery, strong relationships with clients and consultants, and a supportive team culture.

Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint a Site Manager to deliver projects across the Bristol area.

Site Manager

– The Role

As Site Manager you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction projects, typically delivering new build Primary School projects valued between £3m and £6m.

You will manage site operations from start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Contracts Manager and wider project team, you will lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Managing the day-to-day running of construction sites

* Overseeing subcontractors and site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works

* Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to specification

* Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site

* Coordinating trades, materials and site logistics

* Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Contracts Manager

* Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the build process

* Managing site documentation and ensuring compliance with company procedures

* Maintaining strong communication with clients, consultants and the wider project team

Site Manager – Requirements

* Previous experience as a Site Manager delivering construction projects for a main contractor

* Experience delivering new build projects within Education or Commercial sectors

* Strong leadership and site management skills

* Excellent understanding of health & safety and site processes

* Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades on site

* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification preferred

* Full UK driving licence
