A growing specialist contractor in fire protection and automatic fire suppression systems is looking for a Clerk of Works / Site Inspector to support quality assurance across construction projects.
Working across multiple installation sites, you will play a key role ensuring fire suppression and mechanical installations meet specification, quality standards and safety regulations
.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction inspection, site supervision, or QA experience to join a well-established company delivering projects for major commercial and industrial clients across the UK
The RoleAs Clerk of Works / Site Inspector you will carry out site inspections and quality audits to ensure installations are delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities- Conducting site inspections across active construction projects
- Carrying out quality assurance audits and identifying non-compliance issues
- Ensuring installations meet technical specifications, safety standards and project requirements
- Recording inspections with reports, photographs and documentation
- Monitoring materials, measurements and installation quality
- Marking up drawings to reflect site changes or deviations
- Reporting findings to Project and Construction Managers
- Monitoring health & safety compliance on site
- Supporting quality improvements and training where required
We are looking for someone with experience in construction inspection, site supervision or quality control
.
You may have worked as a:
- Clerk of Works
- Site Inspector
- Construction Inspector
- QA / Quality Inspector
- Mechanical or Building Services Inspector
- Site Supervisor or Engineer
You will ideally have:
- Experience inspecting construction, mechanical, building services or fire protection installations
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Fire Protection or a construction trade
- Knowledge of site inspections, QA processes, and defect management
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
- CSCS White or Black Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Full UK driving licence
- £30,000 salary
