Quantity Surveyor Bristol (Regional Commercial Contracting SME)

Salary up to £60,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of projects from pre‑construction through to final account.
  • Prepare and manage tenders, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgets.
  • Carry out cost control, value engineering, risk management, and variation assessment.
  • Produce monthly CVR reports, cashflow forecasts, and financial updates for project and senior management.
  • Liaise closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients, and designers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Negotiate and agree subcontractor packages, interim valuations, and final accounts.
  • Support the commercial team in driving profitability and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a main contractor or commercial fit‑out specialist (regional/SME experience highly desirable).
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing projects profitably.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and/or working towards/hold MRICS (advantageous but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to site travel in the region).
  • Proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to thrive in a growing, supportive SME environment.
