Quantity Surveyor

Location: Bristol

Salary: £350-£380/day

Duration: Long term temp

Role Overview (summary)

We require a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements. Scrutinizing subcontractor estimates and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals. Liaising with the project team, clients, subcontractors, and other investors. Preparing reports, contract analysis, budgets, commercial risk assessments and other documents. Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.

Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Routinely producing interim applications/valuations. Site based role.

Responsibilities
  • Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements.

Qualifications
  • Degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management or similar preferred.
  • Construction estimating or finance experience essential.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound knowledge of construction.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organise, plan, and strategise.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
