An excellent opportunity for an MRICS-qualified Associate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and expanding cost consultancy in Bristol. This senior-level quantity surveyor job offers strong autonomy, private sector project exposure, and the chance to help establish and grow a new QS team across the South West.
The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will be involved in delivering a range of private sector construction projects across Bristol and the wider South West. Projects include commercial, residential, mixed-use and industrial developments, providing full cost management and project management services from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities and DutiesThis is a senior, client-facing quantity surveying job in Bristol with responsibility for both delivery and business growth.
Duties will include:
- Delivering high-quality cost consultancy and quantity surveying services to private sector clients
- Leading projects independently and acting as the primary client contact
- Networking and business development to grow a local client and professional contact base
- Contributing to turnover, profitability and achievement of agreed business targets
- Managing fees, project budgets and commercial performance
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members as the team expands
The employer is seeking an ambitious and commercially aware Associate Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable operating at a senior level.
Ideal experience includes:
- Proven experience leading private sector construction projects
- Strong knowledge of the Bristol and South West construction market
- Client-facing consultancy experience within cost management or quantity surveying
- Business development skills with an established professional network
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a growing team
- At least 5 years post-qualification experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
