The Opportunity

Walker & Sloan are currently working with a number of established contractors across Bristol and the South West who are looking to appoint experienced Site Managers.

These opportunities span a variety of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, refurbishment, fit out and new build construction. Projects range from fast-track refurbishment schemes through to larger new build developments, offering excellent variety and long-term career opportunities.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

* Managing day-to-day site operations from start to completion.

* Coordinating subcontractors, trades and suppliers.

* Driving programme and ensuring projects are delivered on time.

* Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.

* Managing site health & safety and ensuring compliance.

* Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.

* Managing site reporting and documentation.

* Supporting successful project handovers.

* Maintaining strong relationships with operational and commercial teams.

* Delivering projects safely, efficiently and profitably.

About You

* Experience as a Site Manager within a contractor environment.

* Background in refurbishment, fit out, healthcare, education, commercial or new build projects.

* Strong understanding of construction sequencing and programme management.

* Excellent leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.

* Strong health & safety knowledge.

* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred.

* Full UK driving licence.
