Site Manager

The Role Fortem, part of the Willmott Dixon Group specialise in capital and retrofit programmes within the social housing sector and are specialists in works to high rise / high risk buildings. We require a Site Manager to oversee an accelerated retrofit cladding replacement & refurbishment programme to four high rise blocks in central Bristol. This is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30.

Located within easy commute of Bristol, we envisage making offers to the successful candidate August/September (interviews will be carried out asap). The Customer On behalf of Bristol City Council, the four high-rise projects will be wrapped in either tube and fitting scaffold or mast climbers, to enable access for the removal and replacement of both existing render systems and brick slips.

Multiple MEP services will be removed and reinstated progressively with the faade replacement works. Roof level cappings and lightning protection systems will be enhanced and replaced during the project. Enhancement & refreshment of the existing landscaping & ground works will also form part of the Fortem works. D uties and Resposibilities The Site Manager will be accountable for two of the high-rise tower blocks & successfully managing project teams and works partners, to deliver compliant capital & retrofit works to the highest quality standards, specification, budget and within agreed timescales.

Ideally, the Site Manager will have demonstrable experience in a similar role undertaking retrofit & refurbishment works on high rise buildings, however general external construction experience will be considered.

* Recruit, train, develop, motivate retain high quality Fortem staff to deliver high levels of service delivery.
* Provide technical support and advice to the client and project team.
* Ensure a robust strategy is in place for dealing with complaints and managing defects.

* Ensure robust strategy for delivering quality throughout project lifecycle with Zero defects as a target on handover. What You Will Need Essential
* Experience of delivering capital works and larger scale projects, through subcontract /supply chain arrangements.
* Experience of project managing multiple projects with experience in works to high rise / high risk buildings including external faade systems, roofing, fire remediation and fire protections systems, structural works, groundworks, concrete repairs, internal refurbishment etc.
* Extensive end to end project management experience gained in a similar environment.
* Pre-construction and construction experience.
* UK driving license
* SMSTS & knowledge of safe systems of work.
* Scaffold inspection
* Role Appropriate CSCS card
* First Aid at work certificate
* First Aid at work certificate Temporary Works Coordinator
* Temporary Works Coordinator Desirable
* Social Housing experience
* Retrofit / Capital Works experience
* Experience of retrofit projects delivered to PAS
