Contracts Manager

The Opportunity

An established and growing construction contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of general building, refurbishment and small works projects across the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and client-focused construction professional who is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from reactive works and planned maintenance through to refurbishment, fit-out and minor construction projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage multiple live projects across a range of sectors.

* Oversee works from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

* Manage site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.

* Build and maintain strong client relationships.

* Monitor project programmes, budgets and resources.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.

* Attend client meetings and conduct regular site visits.

* Identify and manage risks, opportunities and variations.

* Produce project reports and forecasts.

* Drive quality, customer satisfaction and repeat business opportunities.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within the construction industry.

* Experience managing multiple concurrent small works, refurbishment or general building projects.

* Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

* Ability to prioritise and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

* Good understanding of construction processes, health & safety and project delivery.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Experience with in refurbishment, fit-out, planned maintenance or facilities projects
