About this opportunity
We are searching for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join our Bristol office to support ongoing business growth as a senior healthcare cost management specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a client facing chartered quantity surveyor with in-depth healthcare cost management experience to develop into a sector lead for our South West region.
You will have sound experience in:
Providing full cost management services from feasibility & design through to final account, providing expert cost advice & guidance to clients and managing contractors to control project costs.
Working with public sector healthcare clients as a cost manager or quantity surveyor leading cost management on refurbishment, fit-out and new build construction projects

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Positively and proactively engaging with customers, developing, growing and maintaining these relationships
Delivering high quality services ensuring customers’ requirements are met Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies.
Cost planning, procurement, tender management, evaluation and reporting
Cost-in-use studies.
Valuing completed work, arranging payments and settling final accounts.
Acting as contract administrator or employer's agent, providing technical advice on legal and contractual issues
Reporting and presenting to customers
Mentoring and coaching employees to their full potential.
Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Units activities.
Preparing bids for services and managing service delivery for profit.

Employee Assistance Programme Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills Sound cost management experience post MRICS qualification
Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning
Cohesive knowledge of construction methods and materials
Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
Sound knowledge and experience of post-contract cost management tasks
Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written
Methodical way of thinking and approach to work Organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments
Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills
Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts
Ability to work as part of a team
QualificationsMRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
