Building Surveyor

Location:Cheshire |
Salary:Up to £50,000 + benefits
Working Hours:9:00am–5:30pm

A fantastic opportunity for a
Building Surveyor
to join an established property and surveying team, working across a varied portfolio of
commercial properties
.

This is a client-facing role offering exposure to
building surveys, condition reports, dilapidations, schedules of condition, maintenance projects and contract administration
, with excellent scope for professional development.

The Role

You will support the delivery of commercial building surveying and project work, including:

  • Building inspections and condition surveys
  • Schedules of condition and dilapidations
  • Preparation of specifications, reports and tender documentation
  • Maintenance and refurbishment projects
  • Contract administration and project monitoring
  • Reviewing contractor applications, variations and costs
  • Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, contractors and consultants
  • Ensuring works comply with relevant Building Regulations, legislation and standards
  • Maintaining accurate project records and producing high-quality reports
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in
    Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline
  • Previous
    commercial building surveying or construction experience
  • Good knowledge of building technology, construction methods and Building Regulations
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • A
    full UK driving licence
  • RICS membership or a willingness to work towards it is desirable
  • CSCS or willingness to obtain one is desirable

Importantly, this is a commercial-focused role and is not a social housing or local authority surveying position.
