Quantity Surveyor - Tier One

CSR is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a market leading main contractor based in Northern Ireland. The Successful candidate will be joining a reputable surveying team and work on large-scale commercial projects up to £40M. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will initially be involved on a mixed use development based in mainland UK. You will be expected to travel to mainland UK one/ two nights a fortnight on average.

Duties for the Senior/Quantity Surveyor
* Financial cost control and reporting of current contracts
* Purchasing and negotiating Sub Contract orders
* Paying and monitoring Subcontractor progress
* Improving financial return of current contracts
* Delegation and mentoring junior staff
* Monitoring progress of purchasing of Sub Contract orders
* Maximise monthly cash flows, contract value and profit Person Specification for the Successful Senior/Quantity Surveyor:
Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying/ Related Discipline You will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record of projects completed to date Numerate, organised, analytical and good leadership skills Lead effectively, set standards, good communicator, promote company, good competitive instinct You should also ideally have experience of refurbishment and/or new build contracts, with some specific responsibility for managing contracts on your own up to £40m.
