RGB Recruitment is working with an established civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced General Foreman to join its site delivery team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on General Foreman with a strong background in highways and civil engineering to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of work.

• Oversee day-to-day site operations on highways and civil engineering projects.
• Supervise direct labour, subcontractors and specialist trades.
• Coordinate plant, labour, materials and resources.
• Work closely with Site Agents and Project Managers to maintain project programmes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Deliver site inductions, briefings and toolbox talks.
• Monitor progress and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.
• Ensure works are completed to the required specifications and quality standards.

• Proven experience as a General Foreman or Senior Foreman within civil engineering or highways.
• Strong knowledge of highways construction and general civil engineering operations.
• Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and direct labour.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and work to demanding programmes.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• First Aid qualification desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
