Events# Events & Community Coordinator Role London / Bristol Full-time £28,500 - £30,000## About This Role Roots Allotments Roots Allotments mission is to make growing your own food as accessible as possible and educate people to grow their own nutrient dense, chemical free food in harmony with nature. Our members get access to a ready to grow patch, 25+ organic seed varieties, 10+ Organic plug plant varieties and in-person + online events - we try to give people all they need to start their growing journey with confidence.

The Role The Roots HQ is growing and we’re looking for an Events and community coordinator who will be able to step in to support the team and The Head of events and community. This role is multifaceted and we are looking for someone with events and project management experience, as they will be taking over from the current employee.

Within this varied role you will have the opportunity to engage, inspire and uplift our community with fantastic events hosted by external experts as well as our Patch Managers. You’ll be connecting and collaborating with amazing brands as well as chatting directly with members on our Whats App groups. You’ll work directly with the Head of Events and Community, as well as the rest of the HQ team where you’ll support on marketing both internal and external with the help of copywriters and the Founders.

We are a flexible company in terms of where you work but ask that you can be in the office 2-3 days a week which is situated in the heart of Bristol.

What we’re looking for:

Driving license

Experience in growing your own Flexibility on working some weekends through spring/summer

Great communicator and creative thinker

Nature/outdoors lover

Events + Community based experience

Roles and responsibilities will include:

Events organisation; handling logistics, resourcing, scheduling, liaising with facilitators, and on-the-ground delivery - working with Patch Managers and the head of events team Simple design work on Canva - event guides, posters, signage

Assisting with Monthly Budgeting - keeping an eye site to site on our budget

Communication of events via email and Whats App Buying  and purchasing event resources for our Patch Managers and staff

Community management on our Whats App channels

Outreach to local community groups, schools, charities and CICs for Good Vibes Projects, supporting them both on site and with off site projects

Managing community partnerships including our surplus produce partners across each site Helping to input on our monthly newsletter with knowledge of sites and community things that are going on.

Helping to manage brand partnerships and collaborations alongside wider team Regular meetings and collaborations with Patch Managers on hosting events### Apply for This Role We'll review your application and get back to you within 5 working days.
