Green Planet II, a new BBC1 landmark series, will explore plant‑animal interactions in a magical world, spotlighting the extraordinary relationships between plants and animals. The role involves supporting research for overseas shoots during our busiest filming period.

• Be highly creative and organised with strong storytelling skills, taking an innovative, ambitious and imaginative approach to content development.
• Research blue‑chip animal behaviour sequences and collaborate with Producers, Assistant Producers and other researchers.
• Work effectively as a team player while also being able to work independently.

• Experience setting up international natural history film shoots and working overseas in challenging environments, with the expectation of extended overseas travel.
• Ability to generate ideas, find stories globally, and present them to producers.
• Strong interest in clear written storytelling, turning scientific ideas and discoveries into accessible and engaging stories for the public.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with great team‑working skills, forging relationships with external partners such as scientists and conservation groups.
• Experience working on behaviour‑led landmark natural history series for a mainstream audience with a track record of finding new, emotionally engaging behavioural stories for television.
• Highly organised, able to collaborate and communicate with a large team, while also confident in working well independently.
• Good understanding of new technology (e.g., motion control, timelapse, macro filming).
