Receptionist

Position SummaryPart‑time receptionist at Mad Swans in the Mendips (Farrington Gurney, Bristol). Working at least 20 hours a week, including weekends and evenings, with earnings of £12.15‑£14.00 per hour, including TRONC (Tips).
Key Responsibilities- Greeting guests and creating a positive first impression.
- Checking guests in and out efficiently.
- Providing information about all facilities and services.
- Assisting with guest enquiries, questions, and requests.
- Handling guest feedback and issues in a timely manner and escalating when necessary.
- Managing bookings and table reservations.
- Upselling activities and the Topflight Loyalty Scheme.
- Handling telephone calls and emails.
- Following standard operating procedures and working closely with the Reservations Manager.
- Promoting a welcoming and loyal customer base through rapport building.
- Previous reception or hotel experience (essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Confidence, outgoing appearance, and well‑presented.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑driven, motivated, proactive, positive, and resilient.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
On‑site at Marsh Lane, Farrington Gurney, Bristol, BS39 6TS
.
Operational hours: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm. Shift times vary across the week.
