A career without limits

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role:

Cabin Product Standards Lead

Cabin Products shapes the physical experience our customers and colleagues have on board. From seats and cabin interiors through to the products customers interact with throughout their journey, the team defines what great looks like and ensures our cabins continue to deliver it in service.

As Cabin Product Standards Lead, you’ll lead how our cabin products perform once they enter service, bringing together customer, crew and operational insight to protect our standards, identify priorities and drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead the in-service performance and standards of our cabin products, ensuring they continue to deliver the experience our customers expect.
  • Use customer, crew and operational insight to identify recurring issues, trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Set priorities and drive action with partners to resolve systemic cabin product issues.
  • Own the customer standards and governance used to assess cabin product condition and performance.
  • Represent the customer perspective in decisions affecting in-service cabin products.
  • Maintain a portfolio-wide view of product lifecycle health, identifying ageing, obsolescence and emerging performance risks.
  • Define and prioritise product improvements, ensuring investment and interventions deliver meaningful customer value.
  • Feed learning from products in service into future product requirements and specifications.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
  • A strong customer mindset, with the ability to turn insight and operational performance into clear priorities and action.
  • The ability to balance customer experience, operational performance, cost and longer-term product needs.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, building effective relationships across Engineering, Operations, Customer and other partners.
  • Confidence working with data and insight to understand complex issues and make informed recommendations.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to make decisions, challenge constructively and represent the customer position.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to make complex issues clear and influence at a senior level.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, looking beyond individual defects to identify underlying themes and opportunities.
Your experience:
  • Experience of managing products, standards, performance or customer experience in a complex operational environment.
  • Experience of using customer and operational insight to identify issues, set priorities and drive improvement.
  • Experience of working across multiple functions and influencing technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing competing priorities and making balanced decisions across customer, commercial and operational considerations.
  • Experience of aviation, cabin products, engineering or another safety-critical environment would be beneficial.
