Architectural Technician Cardiff £35-40,000 (dependent on experience) A leading multi-sector design consultancy is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its Cardiff studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and technically skilled professional to take ownership of the delivery of residential projects across all RIBA stages. The practice works across the residential, commercial, education, and leisure sectors, offering a collaborative and design-led environment where technical expertise is highly valued.

Lead the production of detailed technical drawings and construction packages Provide technical leadership across all RIBA stages, with a focus on stages 3-5 Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant housing standards Coordinate with internal and external teams to maintain design and delivery quality Mentor and support junior team members Manage project timelines and ensure smooth project progression Contribute to sustainable and compliant design solutions The successful Architectural Technician will have: A degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology Significant post-qualification experience delivering residential projects Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Strong knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and materials Excellent understanding of planning policy, building regulations, and sustainability principles Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities Experience leading technical design and managing team contributions
