A permanent Architectural Technologist position is available in Bristol with a multi-disciplinary consultancy, offering a salary between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
The role involves working across residential, education, and healthcare sectors within a practice known for its strong staff retention and structured career progression. This position requires a technically proficient professional capable of delivering detailed design work. The successful candidate will join a well-established team with over fifty years of industry presence, benefiting from clear mentoring and advancement routes.
Responsibilities- Working collaboratively with Architects and wider design teams to deliver projects from planning through to construction
- Producing high-quality technical drawings, construction packages and detailed design information
- Preparing and coordinating planning applications and Building Regulations submissions
- Developing and managing NBS specifications
- Coordinating technical information with consultants, including structural, civil and MEP engineers
- Attending site visits, design team meetings and liaising with contractors as required
- Supporting projects during construction stages, responding to technical queries and site issues
- Working within JCT and NEC contract frameworks
- Ensuring technical compliance with current Building Regulations and best practice standards
- Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)
- Experience working as an Architectural Technologist or Technical Architect within a UK practice
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to produce coordinated construction information
- Revit proficiency is mandatory
- Experience preparing technical details, specifications and regulatory submissions
- Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts
- Knowledge of NBS specifications
- Ambitious and motivated, with a desire to progress professionally
- MCIAT chartership achieved or working towards (full support provided)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
