Consultant in Respiratory Medicine - North Bristol

Pay: £100 - £125 per hour (PAYE)

About this jobAs a locum consultant in respiratory medicine, you will support acute and general respiratory services across inpatient, out‑patient and intensive care. You will provide clinical expertise, educational support to trainees and contribute to service development.
ain Duties/Responsibilities- Actively support patients and families, communicating clinical information to explain diagnoses and treatment options.
- Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe appropriate therapies.
- Provide constant monitoring and care for patients.
- Communicate with patients and the multidisciplinary team on shared decision making.
- Lead and work within a multidisciplinary team where appropriate.
- Assess and prioritise patient requirements, delegating effectively.
- Recognise, review and report patient condition changes to the team.
- Maintain records of test results, prescriptions, and monitor treatment plans.
- Conduct research to improve procedures and outcomes.
- Teach and train junior doctors, medical students and other team members.
- GMC registered Doctor (you do NOT need to be on the Specialist Register).
- Relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support transition up to Consultant level.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Pass enhanced DBS background check.
- Weekly payroll, paid each Friday.
