Registrar in Paediatric Orthopaedics | University Hospitals and Weston NHS Foundation Trust

Overview

This registrar post (ST3+ equivalent) is based within Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The post holder will take part in clinics and operating lists at the Bristol Children’s Hospital and occasionally at other centres in the South West. The appointment is 6‑month.

• Day‑to‑day care of paediatric orthopaedic inpatients including emergency and elective admissions.
• Participate in specialist and fracture clinics run daily.
• Contribute to departmental audit, research and teaching of junior team members.
• Commit to on‑call duties on the middle‑grade rota.

• Completion of paediatric orthopaedics training or equivalent experience.
• Experience in managing conditions such as developmental hip dysplasia, complex foot deformities, neuromuscular conditions, skeletal dysplasias and complex upper and lower limb deformities.
• Strong clinical, surgical and teaching skills.
