The post is advertised as a 10PA job plan with options to increase or negotiate time for specialist interest. We are also supportive of less than full time working as well as flexible working requests.
Main duties of the jobYou will have a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of the service. You will be joining an enthusiastic, collaborative multi-disciplinary team that is committed to driving forward the Trust vision for Acute Medicine, delivering an exemplary service. This is also an exciting time as we have recently announced the ‘Joint Clinical Strategy’ which will enable greater collaboration with North Bristol Trust (NBT) to provide sustainable and equitable acute care for patients across the region.
Our service is comprised of a 39 bedded Acute Medical Unit, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit and the management of the Medical Take. Acute Medicine is within the Division of Medicine, working closely with colleagues in the Emergency Department, Care of the Elderly, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Our Trust includes leading tertiary specialist services including the Bristol Heart Institute, St Michaels Maternity Hospital, Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. We actively encourage our consultants to explore opportunities for cross-specialty collaboration.
