Job summary

This is a unique opportunity to become one of the the first Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) in our Urology Department, helping to establish an exciting new role within a forward-thinking and expanding service. As part of our commitment to developing innovative models of care, we are investing in advanced clinical practice to enhance patient experience, improve pathways and strengthen our multidisciplinary team.

Working alongside experienced urology consultants, specialist nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide autonomous, high-quality care for patients with acute, elective and emergency urological conditions across inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory settings.

Whether you are an accredited ACP or an experienced clinician looking to undertake the ACP training pathway, you will play a key role in developing this new service and influencing the future of advanced clinical practice within urology.

This role offers the opportunity to shape patient pathways, lead service improvement, contribute to education and research, and make a lasting impact on patient care while developing your own advanced clinical practice career.

You will provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with acute, elective and emergency urological conditions, working autonomously within an agreed scope of practice across inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory settings.

Working closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate patient care, request and interpret diagnostic investigations, develop evidence-based management plans and undertake advanced clinical procedures appropriate to your competence.

You will also contribute to service development through quality improvement, audit and the implementation of evidence-based practice, while supporting education, leadership and the continued development of advanced clinical practice within the Urology service.
