* About the Role:
** Additionally, you will support small groups of children across the school, assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons and ensuring all children are included and supported effectively. You will primarily provide tailored support for pupils with complex needs, helping them to achieve their full potential through personalised learning and development strategies.

* Key Responsibilities:
*
* • Provide focused support for pupils with complex needs, promoting their learning and personal development through tailored 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Assist in delivering tailored support and interventions for the child, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
• Support the children with their social and emotional development, fostering positive behaviour and independence.
• Support the children with intimate care where required, ensuring their dignity and privacy are maintained.
• Work with other groups of pupils across the school, providing additional support during lessons, activities, and interventions.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive, inclusive environment for all pupils.
• Observe and monitor the child’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher and SENCo as required.
• Support the teacher with preparing and organizing learning materials and resources.
• Participate in meetings and training to continue developing knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures, ensuring child safeguarding and health and safety standards are met at all times.
** Key Qualifications &
Experience:
*
* • Level 2/Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in supporting children with complex needs in a primary school setting.
• Understanding of the needs of children with special educational needs (SEND), including those with autism, physical disabilities, and social and emotional difficulties.
• Knowledge of intimate care procedures, with the ability to provide care in a respectful and professional manner.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a caring nature, with a passion for helping children succeed.
• Willingness to undertake additional training and professional development as required by the school.
