Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a Phase 1 Teacher at Wansdyke Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futuras mission statement of Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish. As

Phase 1 Teacher, You Will Be Responsible For
  • Planning and preparing engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Teaching according to students educational needs, including setting and marking classwork and homework.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress and development.
  • Promoting pupils wellbeing and supporting their personal and social development.
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with parents and external agencies.
  • Participating in professional development, curriculum development, staff meetings and school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintaining a well-ordered and safe learning environment.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has successfully completed their induction year.
  • Demonstrates effective classroom practice and a proven ability to support and challenge pupils.
  • Has knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment for learning.
  • Brings experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • Shows excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally in writing and speech.
  • Uses ICT effectively as a teaching and administrative tool.
  • Plans and differentiates creatively to meet diverse learning needs.
