Design and Technology Teacher; Part Time

Job Title: Teacher of Design and Technology

Location: Bristol

Pay: £170 – £260 per day (Dependent on experience, equivalent to M1–UPS3)

Contract Type: Fixed-term, Flexible or Permanent

Hours: Part‑time, 0.8 FTE (26 hours per week)

Working Pattern: Four days per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

This is a great opportunity for a creative and motivated Design and Technology teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons and inspire students through practical, skills-based learning.

You will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND, pupil premium, looked‑after children and high‑attaining students
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families
• Communicate confidently and embrace change with a flexible mindset
• Value enrichment opportunities that enhance learning beyond the classroom
• Be committed to developing your own practice and supporting others
• Meet the Teachers’ Standards consistently, with sustained impact for students

• Daily pay equivalent of £160–£230 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
