Early Years Teaching Assistant – Autism Support

About the School

Axcis Education is an inclusive Christian primary school with a strong sense of community, supporting pupils’ academic, pastoral and spiritual development. The school offers a broad, balanced curriculum including arts, sports and music.

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with Autism in the Early Years setting.
• Implement tailored strategies to support communication, sensory regulation and engagement in learning.
• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and parents to ensure consistent, child‑centred support.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive social interaction in a safe and nurturing environment.

• Has experience supporting young children with Autism, ideally within an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Is patient, nurturing and creative in their approach to SEND support.
• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and families.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for one.
