We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full‑time, long‑term basis.

Location: Bristol

Start Date: Immediate

• Small, specialist secondary setting
• Small class sizes and high staff‑to‑pupil ratios
• Trauma‑informed and nurturing approach
• Personalised curriculum combining academic learning and personal development
• Clear expectations centred on readiness, respect and safety

• Support pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and differentiation
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support
• Help manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation
• Support pupils working off timetable or requiring additional supervision
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals
• Monday‑Friday (8:15 am – 4:30 pm) on a long‑term contract with potential for extension

• Experience working with SEN, SEMH, PRU or alternative provision pupils
• Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
• Calm, resilient and consistent approach
• Ability to build trust with vulnerable young people
• Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Availability to work full time
• Relevant TA qualifications or previous school experience desirable but not essential

• Make a meaningful difference in a specialist SEMH setting
