Salary: £24,796 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £5,764.29 p.a.)

We are seeking a caring, passionate individual to support children with complex SEN/D needs within our primary school environment. The role involves working closely with a supportive team that specialises in meeting the needs of children with social and communication difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with a number of children who have complex SEN/D needs in the main classroom and in three alternative learning areas.
- Supporting each child’s individual learning and personal development needs.
- Ensuring the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children by following exemplary safeguarding practices.
- Adapting your practice to support effective learning and maintaining flexibility in the face of change.
- Remaining calm and supportive during unexpected or challenging situations.
- Performing manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, requiring physical fitness.
- Maintaining a confidential, discrete and trustworthy approach to all aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a proven commitment to Keeping Children Safe in Education and an understanding of the additional vulnerabilities of disabled children.
- Display a flexible attitude, dependable work ethic and strong communication skills.
- Be physically fit and capable of safe manual handling.
- Thrill in providing support to a diverse group of children and meeting their individual needs.
