Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Complex Needs Teaching Assistant £95-105 per day Immediate Start Qualiteach Yorkshire are looking for an experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Leeds (LS9) for children with moderate and complex learning needs. The setting is an SEN school who work with a mix of ages and are looking for someone with a range of experience to join their team ASAP.

The Role:

Working with children on a 1:1 and group basis who have a variety of needs, tailoring learning to suit them Working within a team and helping to build a comfortable environment for all children and staff, supporting challenging behaviour and SEN requirements Following care plans, EHCPs, Pupil Passports and other relevant documents Being comfortable with personal care is advantageous Using a holistic approach within a multi-disciplinary team of specialists Supporting a differentiated national curriculum that is tailored to the needs of the pupils

What you will need:

Experience of working with children who have complex needs A willingness to jump in and help where necessary Being competent in helping to prepare the pupils for becoming ready for adulthood through being a positive role model and influence The ability to support challenging behaviour, encourage independence and be patient and willing to build long lasting relationships with pupils
