Pay: £150 - £240 per day

We are working in partnership with an exceptional SEND secondary school to recruit a Construction Tutor to deliver BTEC Level 1 Construction and KS3 enrichment across Years 7-9.

This is a tutor position — QTS is not required. The school is keen to hear from candidates with a vocational, FE, or industry background who are passionate about engaging young people in construction and practical learning.

As a Construction Tutor, you will:

• Deliver the BTEC Level 1 Construction qualification, including all required coursework, assessment, and administration
• Plan and teach construction-based enrichment lessons to students in Years 7, 8 and 9
• Support learners with varying abilities, building confidence and employability skills
• Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to internal verification processes
• Work closely with school staff to ensure a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience delivering BTEC or vocational construction courses (school or FE setting)
• Is confident managing coursework, portfolios, and assessment evidence
• Can engage and motivate KS3 learners
• Comes from a background in construction, the trades, FE, or vocational education
• Has strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills

Desirable but not essential:

• Teaching or training experience in FE, AP, PRU, or secondary schools
• Assessor qualifications (A1, TAQA, CAVA, etc.)
