Do you have experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and flexible Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team at a specialist SEN school focusing on SEMH . This vital role involves providing temporary, short-term, and potentially longer-term cover across various classes and age groups, supporting pupils with complex needs to access their education and thrive both academically and socially.
The Role As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH, you will:
Provide high-quality, flexible support to the class teacher and pupils . Assist in the planning and preparation of tailored learning activities . Implement strategies and interventions designed to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive emotional regulation.
Support pupils' social development and communication skills.
Assist with personal care where necessary (training provided). Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team . What We Are Looking For We are looking for candidates who are:
Experienced in supporting pupils with SEMH needs (essential). Resilient, calm, and able to de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
Adaptable and willing to work with different age groups and classes at short notice.
Patient, nurturing, and committed to inclusive education.
Able to demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills . Hold relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in an SEN setting.
