The School of Physics seeks to recruit a Partnerships Manager for its EPSRC funded Quantum Information Science and Technology Centre for Doctoral Training programme ( ). This evolved CDT is led by the University of Bristol and delivered in partnership with the University of Sussex. The programme aims to deliver on EPSRC’s Research Priority of Quantum Technologies – supporting research across both institutions.

This role provides the unique opportunity to work with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of a high-quality postgraduate training programme.

This role supports hybrid working arrangements to provide flexibility, however the appointed candidate is expected to work on campus one day a week le the Centre’s operational needs require the successful candidate to start by February 2026, we are able to accommodate individual notice periods.

What will you be doing?
  • Develop effective working relationships with a wide range of companies with an interest in quantum engineering
  • Secure extensive industry funding for PhD Studentships and secondment opportunities for CDT students
  • Major areas of work will include planning, contract negotiation, facilitation of collaboration, and relationship management.
  • Support the development of training for CDT students in enterprise
You should apply if
  • You have the ability to engage with and influence academics and senior staff inside and outside the University.
  • You have broad experience of business development and relationship management.
  • A good understanding of how industry and academia work together with the ability and credibility to work effectively within both these environments.
  • Strong project management skills including excellent record keeping and administration skills.
  • Some experience of co-ordinating, assembling and costing project proposals.
